Understanding Points
Each book is assigned a point value at the time that it is listed. Since older books
are worth significantly less than newer books, the point value of each book is determined
primarily by its publication date.
Points by Age of Book
The age of the book is determined by comparing the publication date to the date
of the listing.

Exceptions
There are some technical books that are not time sensitive. If a book is still listed
in the top 2,500 on Amazon it is considered a Best Seller and it will be
listed with a minimum 5 point value.
Also, if a book's condition is listed as poor, one point is subtracted from the
value of the book. Therefore, it is possible to get a book for 0 points.
